Attorney Matthew Torres
Attorney Torres obtained his J.D. from Marquette University Law School, where he focused on clinical trainings and workshops to gain real world experience. His primary focus is on family and criminal law related matters, often litigating in front of Judges and Administrative Law Judges. However, he also advises clients on discrimination and Title IX cases.
Attorney Torres has extensive training and experience in mediation services. He is a Certified Divorce Mediator through Northwestern University, and assists individuals amiciably divorce without the need for complex or expensive litigation. Attorney Torres was also the clinical teaching assistant for Marquette Law’s Mediation Clinic where he successfully facilitated resolutions in landlord-tenant & car collision issues.
In addition to his mediation experience, Attorney Torres has a demonstrated history of leadership. He served as the president of both the Hispanic Latino Law Student Association and the American Constitution Society for Law and Public Policy. Honored as the 2023 scholarship recipient by the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association and Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee, Attorney Torres has demonstrated his commitment to his culture and desire to make a lasting impact on the legal profession.
Attorney Torres completed his undergraduate studies at Marquette University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Criminology and Law Studies & Social Welfare and Justice. He utilizes his degree to take a holistic approach to the practice of law.
