About Me
Being charged with a crime is an extremely stressful, confusing, and unfamiliar process for most
clients. I do my best to alleviate this strain on clients through prompt, straightforward communication and meaningful interaction
with clients. I use this same approach in dealing with the community through the Ohiku Community Outreach Initiative.
This entails guest-speaking at local high schools regarding the legal profession, volunteering at local organizations dedicated to under-served
populations of Milwaukee and providing free legal clinics on topics such as 1) child custody, visitation, and support orders,
2) dealing with impediments to gainful employment, and 3) steps to obtain a valid driver's license. One goal of this Initiative
is to expose high school students to the law, thereby providing them real life proof that becoming a lawyer is possible. Please contact
me for more information.
In 1994, one of my close relatives was charged with a crime. I personally experienced the enormous stress placed on my family. I also experienced what it felt like to be a concerned family member sitting in front of an attorney's desk rather than behind it. I learned of the various concerns my relative had with his attorney. Chief among those concerns was lack of communication. My relative felt as though his attorney forgot about him. My relative also felt like he never knew exactly what was going on with his case. This very personal, firsthand experience is what drives the mission of my Law Office.
